Flindel was born out of a personally negative experience that I had with returns a few years ago. I was trying to get rid of an order that I had purchased earlier and the experience was cumbersome leaving me frustrated, pained, and determined. It has been incredible to see one stubborn experience grow into a solution for the millions of consumers undergoing return challenges.
Our entry into this industry was not straightforward and there were several pivots we had to make along the way to getting things right, but we made it. The reverse logistics industry is historically tough because traditional third party logistics providers often see returns as a consequence of doing fulfillment, versus as a standalone issue to tackle.
One key thesis we have had is that a product shouldn't need to leave the city that it's present in before a customer can find out if the product will be accepted for a refund or for the merchant to put the item back on the rack. We were determined to prove this thesis valid, regardless of the hurdles along the way.
Today, I am proud to say that we did it. We have been able to bring the excitement of the warehouse to the palm of the consumer, sans the need for traditional warehousing or the typical pains associated with traditional reverse logistics.
Our hurdles paved the way for the leading solution in this industry and I am thankful for our team, investors, advisors, and partners for being supporters in our mission.
