The carbon footprint generated from commerce returns is a growing concern for us and the planet. In 2020, returned inventory created 5.8 billion pounds of landfill waste and the shipping of returned items generated 16 million metric tons of carbon emissions. By reimagining the reverse logistics space, specifically around eliminating the need for transportation of returned inventory for inspection, we are able to cut the latter statistic to zero. Thankfully, through Flindel's software driven solutions, we are able to significantly minimize this impact.

Our Environmental Impact:

• Because we operate with intelligent software and hold no warehousing or physical inventory, we are able to reduce the carbon emissions generated by the transportation of returned items to merchant's warehouses by 100%. This is the highest in the industry.
• Due to our re-fulfillment technology, we are able to help merchants keep the millions of tons of inventory that goes into landfills by giving them an avenue to be resold or donated.

Our Social Impact:

• Through partnerships with local charitable organizations like Goodwill,  The Salvation Army, and Habitat For Humanity, we are able to facilitate a direct avenue for unsold merchandise post return to be ethically donated.
